Over the past 30 years or so, I have spoken to probably thousands of people about their health, fitness and wellness. They had come to me because they wanted to improve their well-being and the quality of their daily life.
Some of them were exceedingly successful, achieving life changing results. Whilst others, no matter how hard I tried…never got there. I’ve really spent quite a bit of time pondering the differences between health and fitness success and failure.
Healthy, fit people have an unwavering desire to have a body that looks, feels and performs at it’s optimum and is capable of participating in any activity they chose to do. And then they take consistent action, overcoming obstacles and road blocks to satisfy their desire.
Now as a business owner, I get it! Putting in the hard yards to develop and grow your dream and vision has to be a major priority. I can tell you from my personal experience that when I opened my studio, my fitness dropped dramatically…and I wasn’t happy about it!
But I knew that it was only for a short period of time and it was just a temporary road block. Unfortunately, not everybody can recognise a temporary road block, and fall off the fitness cliff, believing that this fitness thing isn’t for them…which is so untrue! Joseph Pilates believed that every person was born with the right to good health…that it was a natural state for the body to be in, but in the modern world, we have come to accept the opposite, that ill health is normal. Well, I agree with Joseph that it is not!
Today we have an amazing array of tools, knowledge and products to help us achieve optimum health and wellness, but it can be an overwhelming task to sort out all the information available and decide what is great and valid and what is not so great.
Over the past seven months, I have personally experienced a new level of health and fitness that I didn’t think was possible and I am passionate about sharing what I know to enable as many people as I can to experience more from life. If you want to improve your health and well-being, send me a coffee chat request, I would love to chat to you.
